Through the Lens of Kato Pyrgos
This year, Kato Pyrgos will proudly host two signature festivals:
Street Food Festival and Avocado Festival
Both festivals are set to become an annual tradition, bringing together local flavors, culture, and hospitality.
Each year, we plan to repeat these two cornerstone events while enriching our cultural calendar with additional festivals.
These events are organized with the support and funding of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism.
Street Food
This November, the heart of our village will come alive with the rich aromas and vibrant flavors of our Street Food Festival at the Oak Plaza. Visitors will enjoy a delicious variety of local and international street food, from traditional Cypriot sheftalies and halloumi wraps to modern fusion bites. The plaza will be filled with music, laughter, and the warmth of community spirit, making it the perfect place to taste, mingle, and celebrate our culinary traditions.
Avocado Festival
In December, Oak Plaza will transform into a green haven for our first-ever Avocado Festival. This unique event will celebrate the versatility and health benefits of avocados, with local producers showcasing their fresh harvests and chefs preparing creative dishes—from guacamole and avocado desserts to innovative avocado-based drinks. The festival will also feature cooking demos, tastings, and family-friendly activities, offering a fun and flavorful way to close the year.
